OVALINE Textured Jewel Cuff Bracelet
A new and even more graphic interpretation of OVALINE.
This version features an oversized gold-tone jewel buckle set vertically across the wrist. Two irregular oval shapes interact with one another: a smooth, generously rounded inner ring surrounded by a finer textured outer line that subtly catches the light.
The contrast between smooth and textured metal gives the buckle its distinctive character. Its asymmetric proportions and statement scale evoke the bold jewellery accessories of circa 1990.
I paired it with grained recycled black leather, deliberately keeping the cuff understated. The black leather almost disappears beneath the buckle, allowing the sculptural gold-tone design to take centre stage while adding another layer of texture.
Unlike the first OVALINE, which sits horizontally across the cuff, OVALINE Textured is mounted vertically. The buckle extends beyond the leather band, creating the impression of a sculptural piece of jewellery resting directly on the wrist.
Worn alone, it is enough to define a look. Pair it with black, a crisp white shirt, denim or a minimalist outfit and the gold-tone buckle immediately becomes the focal point.
Each bracelet is handcrafted in Paris, combining a carefully selected vintage buckle with recycled leather. Produced in very small quantities, OVALINE Textured reflects the BUTTONS PARADISE approach: giving beautiful existing elements a new purpose through contemporary design.
