The Gloria looks like a medal, hence its name! In fact, it is probably a blank for a high boot clip. It is massive and magnificent at the same time. Transformed into a brooch, this combination of leather, gold metal and mother-of-pearl is surprising and graphic.
I like this brooch for its highlighting. I tested it on an archive jacket, Albert Elbaz for Jeanne Lanvin from the 90s, it's great. I also put it on a large flat skirt pocket. Here too, the effect is unparalleled. For added stability, the brooch clip is mounted on two ovals of recycled leather.
The Gloria brooch is delicately attached to the garment with two pins along the length of its oval. I recommend putting it on before you wear your garment to properly clip the pins on the back which are very durable if clipped well! So. It is above all a brooch, an artist's jewel that is worth it!
